The date the project was created is unknown, but thanks to a specialized whois service, we found out that alpaca.markets has been operating since 2017. There are many reviews from real customers, but most of them are negative.
There is no permissive documentation on the site, however, there is evidence that Alpaca Securities LLC is a member of FINRA/SIPC. There is indeed such a company in the FINRA registry.
Recall that in order to legally provide a brokerage service, Alpaca Securities LLC had to obtain a license from a reputable regulator. Only in this case, you can be sure of the reliability of the company. However, the broker does not have such a document.
